Ka Lama Education Academy implements a Grow Your Own Teacher program to support community members in their pursuit to become highly qualified teachers and existing teachers in their home communities through college support, mentorship, and professional development training.
We provide support for those interested and/or earning certificates/degrees in teaching and education.
We provide support to in-service teachers, who are seeking professional development training and career advancement.
Native Hawaiian preference, but not limited to
Teach and/or live in Wai’anae, Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Moloka’i, Kaua’i and East Hawai’i Island.
Interested in the field of Education or Currently in the field of Education
Teach and/or live in the areas listed above (for a minimum of 3 years)
Interested in the field of Education
Currently in the field of Education
