“As a brand-new teacher, I am so grateful for the Loverde Group in helping me earn the credits I need to become class 8 when itʻs available in SY ʻ25-ʻ26. Dave and Joeʻs courses were informative and applicable to everyday teaching. As a probationary teacher, there are so many new things to manage like regulating and complying with EES, schoolwide “best practices” and initiatives, acclimating to data team processes and compliance, department, team, and academy initiatives and responsibilities. While balancing all of those new work obligations and duties, I was still able to manage taking professional development classes and earn credits to move up the salary schedule. Thank you Dave and Joe for your relevant insight, contemporary perspective, and passionate zeal for learning, but more so for your commitment to supporting teachers. I highly recommend taking PD courses through The Loverde Group!”

“Aloha, I first met Dave Dunaway as a fellow teacher at a Middle School while teaching SPED. I completed my Master’s Degree in Special Education then eventually moved on to a private educational institution. Needing continuing education graduate level professional development credits, I looked around for what my new colleagues were taking. Many of them were excited to share Joe Loverde and Dave Dunaway’s Loverde classes. The professional development classes worked with the needs of the teachers- both in content and time. Teachers are busy, and these in-person classes were on the weekends, during teaching breaks, and during the summers. We experienced a diverse, high-energy, and inclusive environment developing powerful pedagogies to improve learning outcomes. Class content encouraged enriching learning experiences to enhance student engagement, technology integration and innovation, utilize data, and directly impact teacher efficacy and student learning outcomes. I learned from the years of experience of Joe and Dave, as well as from the vast knowledge of cohort educators around me. I felt supported and validated as an educational professional in these classes. The required portfolios we created provided evidence of what we were learning and discussing in person at the Loverde classes, then how we delivered instruction to students using the knowledge we gained, and finally how we evaluated, documented, improved, and reflected on the learning designs in our classrooms. These classes were taught with authentic engagement and reinforcement of teachers from beginning to end. The Professional Development credits directly and immediately helped to improve my professional practice and, just as my colleagues did for me, I will continue to share and encourage others to attend these valuable classes as tools of continuous professional development and teacher support.” Kamehameha Kapālama High School Speech Department Chair

“I really enjoyed taking classes from the LoVerde Group! The workload was very manageable and I was able to work at my own pace. The strategies I studied were immediately useful in my classroom. Emily was extremely helpful, getting back to me right away any time I had a question or problem. I would recommend these classes to any busy teacher that wants useful professional development.”

Several years ago, I was looking to further my education as a life-long learner while also moving columns in the pay scale. A couple of colleagues pointed me towards Joe LoVerde’s PD courses that offered approved college credits through Brandman University. Those courses were offered during the summer as well as Saturday mornings in the Spring, which fit my schedule perfectly. Everything about those PD courses were well-thought out, including the schedule, topics, presentations and assessments. They were informative, inspiring, reflective, and enjoyable because of the environment that Joe and Dave created. If you are an educator looking to enhance your knowledge, pedagogy and classroom skills while earning PD credits, I highly recommend Joe LoVerde’s PD courses.

Joe Loverde’s classes are the only way we were able to move up to Class 7 in a relatively fast time frame. We took every course Loverde offered, and were happily surprised with how engaging the courses were and the amount of support that we received. The workload was doable while teaching full time and the content was applicable to our everyday instruction. Dave and Joe are great and really want to provide teachers with meaningful courses that help them get to the top of the payscale!

I enjoyed taking Joe Loverdeʻs classes when I needed the PD requirements to move up in pay classification. It was always engaging and fun to take with my colleagues. The portfolio format made it doable and easy in the middle of teaching, when we always seem to have “a million things” to do. The energy and presentation made it an enjoyable way to learn and earn PD credits. It also gave me inspiring and practical tools to apply in my everyday teaching.

As a veteran teacher with 20 years in the DOE, I look back and am so grateful for the opportunities that Joe and Dave have provided. I can honestly say that their classes are the reason I was able to earn the credits needed to move up the pay scale so quickly. Their simple, yet practical approach made it easy for me to complete the assignments. What made the classes even more enjoyable was having friends and colleagues who also took the classes with me. It was an opportunity for us to learn together, while also enjoying each others’ company. I would highly recommend their classes! 6th Grade SS Teacher Academic Coach

I loved Joe Loverde’s and Dave Dunaway’s classes. I have taken many of their classes. Both men were very supportive with great ideas and suggestions when I felt stuck. I like the perspective and angles of how they teach their classes. They are true believers in loving our profession. I have now been at Class 7 for a few years and it feels great. I have suffered through many endless PD’s for credits, but Loverde’s and Dunaway’s classes were the most enjoyable, inspiring and worthwhile. Marie Aguilar (23 years teaching)
